All year long, America's Catholic Television Network broadcasts special events from across the country. This summer, new bishops will be ordained and installed throughout the nation. The Knights of Columbus will hold its annual convention. Blessed Mother Teresa will be honored with a postage stamp. CatholicTV will have coverage of all these special moments in the life of the church.
Here are special events to be broadcast on CatholicTV this summer:
- July 30: Ordination and Installation of Bishop-elect David O'Connell from Saint Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton, NJ.
- August 3: Knights of Columbus 128th Supreme Convention, Washington, DC. Mass from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception 10:30 a.m.; Opening Business Session 1 p.m.; States Dinner 7:30 p.m.
- August 6: Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will ordain Bishop-elect John McIntyre and Bishop-elect Michael Fitzgerald at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.
- August 15: Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mass from Rome with Pope Benedict XVI.
- August 18: Installation of Bishop Joseph McFadden, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Harrisburg.
- September 5: Mass and Ceremony for Commemorative Stamp of Blessed Mother Teresa from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, 8 p.m.
